WHAT TO DO WHEN A GOAT SHOWS THESE SIGNS
- Go out and observe and make a note of what is not right, only you will know your goat.
- Depending on what signs you see you can have a fair idea of what it might be:
Eg staggering, unexplained bleating-poisoning, some sort of toxicity
Unable to get up- poisoning or injury or some infection
SIMPLE WAYS TO DEAL WITH A SICK GOAT
- Keep the animal warm in an area with another friendly animal. If you isolate the animal it will stress as goats are herd animals and so need company.
- Ensure the goat has access to clean water, hay and shelter.
- Keep the animal hydrated and call experienced farmer or vet for help
